l Manager Steve Richardson at The Calder has been in touch as they will be hosting their Soul on Sunday event this Sunday. The DJ is on from 3pm till 9pm with Northern Soul and Motown.

l The Holiday Inn at Brighouse has an Easter treat for the family with a carvery at £12 per person. Children under 12 eat free on Easter Sunday.
l On Easter Sunday, Brooks Restaurant are hosting a Tea Time Jazz from 5pm.
Music will be from the Richard Armstrong Jazz Band, and the prix fixe and a la Carte Menus will be available.
l Tonight (Thursday) at the Barge, the jam session is with Mick Brown of the Psychoslinkys.
On Friday evening Huddersfield-based party band Helter Skelter will take to the stage, followed on Saturday night by Idle Pop.
Sunday’s gig from 6.30pm is Mike Raffone and The Blue Tones, a four piece rock’a’billy/rock and roll band.
l Landlady Marsha Jones at The Old Ship Inn informs that the food service began at the pub on Wednesday of this week.
They are offering fresh cooked locally sourced produce cooked by Chef Kenny who is from The Blind Pig at Sowerby Bridge.
Food service times are 12-3pm Tuesday - Thursday and 12-5pm Friday to Sunday. No food on Mondays.
