Winter to be welcomed with a warm Embrace

Embrace.

Embrace.

Brighouse band Embrace has announced plans for a winter tour of the UK and its first shows in Belfast and Dublin in many years.

The five-piece band will start its tour on November 27 in Bournemouth playing throughout December before going over to perform in Dublin and Belfast on December 12 and 13.

First up though will be the band’s Secret Festival on September 6.

Talking about the event Danny McNamara said: “We want to extract the DNA from each of the secret gigs we’ve done so far and transplant it into a private outdoor area in the middle of nowhere and see how it works.”

The band has also given the chance for fans to sing live on stage with the band as entrants posted videos of them performing “Fireworks”.

The SG#22 gig will also celebrate the history of secret events the band has held over the years.

Space at the festival will be handed over to the fans to design and build a tribute to SGs Embrace has done before - whether that’s a confession booth for the Big Brother secret gig, or a beach to replicate its first ever secret gig,

It has been a busy comeback year for the indie rockers Danny McNamara, Richard McNamara, Mike Heaton, Steve Firth and Mickey Dale.

As well as a tour of Scotland they have performed at the Tour de France team presentation at Leeds First Direct Arena, T in the Park and the Community Shield football showpiece at Wembley stadium in London.
