Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar is rocking audiences in Brighouse this week.
The show, which follows the story of the last week of Jesus’ life, stars Ben Guilfoyle as Jesus and Amy Roche as Mary Magdalene.
Amy has played a lot of leading roles in musical shows around West Yorkshire and is loving being on the Brighouse stage.
“I’ve alwas enjoyed performing with Brighouse people,” she said.
“I think it’s going to be a really good show. Everyone’s passionate about the great music and lyrics.”
The cast received a good luck message from Ben Foster, winner of ITV’s Superstar programme who played the part of Jesus in a national tour.
It is being performed by Brighouse Theatre Productions at Brighouse Civic Hall until Saturday, with daily performances at 7.15pm and a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm.
