Julian has a story to tell

Much travelled musician Julian Dawson arrives at at Wadsworth Community Centre on Saturday, July 2. (Doors 6.45pm, gig 8pm.)

The songwriter, guitarist, harmonica player, producer and singer has a back catalogue of more than 700 songs, including collaborations with giants of folk, country, rock and pop.

Julian has experienced the music industry here, in Europe and in the USA and will intersperse his music with some great stories from the inside.

With a growing and highly appreciative following in many countries and positive reactions in the music press, he remains an original voice.

Outside his solo work, he has recorded with huge names like Gerry Rafferty, Glenn Tilbrook, Duane Eddy, Richard Thompson, and Randy Edelman.

Julian will be supported by Nick Hall. Nick is half of Plumhall, the roots duo who are enlivening the acoustic circuit.

Nick has a talent for writing sophisticated, emotional songs. He has an enviable voice and a unique powerful guitar style combined with an easy stage presence.

He is also a member of the Hall Brothers folk rock band, having worked with Magna Carta and has recently been collaborating with award winning folk artist Bella Gaffney.

Proceeds after expenses will be donated to Yorkshire Cancer Research.

As usual, locally sourced real ale and a tasty pie and pea supper will be available.
