Brighouse Rangers, as is the norm with their articles of association, are once again inviting applications for a head coach for the 2013-14 season.

As part of the process head coach Craig Young must re-apply for his job. This is something which takes place every year ahead of the club’s agm.

Anybody interested in being considered for the post can send their applications to Rangers chairman Dave Barnes by email: digger.barnes66@gmail.com.

Applications have to be in by Sunday, June 2.

Barnes in the meantime would like to thank the backroom staff of Jeff Greenwood, Brian Hinchcliffe and Mel Hinchcliffe for the efforts they put in week in week out for the club.

Barnes also reserved a speccial mention to outgoing treasurer Andy Dawson, who needs to devote his time to his partner with a son due in September.

“Its been a hard season for Andy balancing the books, but he has done well and all the committee really appreciate his efforts,” said Barnes.

“Also a big thank you to A team and U16s coach Nigel Briggs who has done an immense job this season.

“When it looked like the reserves team was going to fold, Nigel stepped in and got some lads back to help out.

“He even stopped the side being relegated from Division Five.

“We have one last game away to Oldham club Hollinwood on Saturday (2.30).

“This is also the last weekend for the players to let me know if they are attending the presentation evening, with over 100 tickets sold already.

“Finally, could I thank Leisha Williams for looking after the players with her culinery skills plus our supporters, especially Liam Flynn and Jon Wickens.”
