Brighouse Rangers Ladies team member Zoe Patchett has been selected to train with the England’s Students squad, writes Charlotte Henbest.
The North Halifax Grammar pupil was originally picked along with 50 other students after only two seasons in the Rangers open age side.
Studying A-levels in photography, PE and Biology, Patchett endured a hard training session and made the cut to 34 ladies who embarked on a tour of France, where they played two games in five days.
The England Women Students returned home from their tour of the Aquitaine region in France with a historic victory over the Aquitaine selection.
They lost the first game 13-6 but came out victorious 28-18 in second match.
Patchett will now be hoping that she is in the mix for the Pankhurst Cup later in the year

On a hot and energy sapping afternoon the final scoreline did not truly reflect the efforts put in by Brighouse, particularly in defence.
Their high flying visitors, boasting a number of players who will represent Yorkshire against Lancashire in the WARLA State of Origin at Fylde next Sunday, and coming off the back of a 72-4 victory the previous week against Oulton, would always be a tough proposition.
A position which certainly wasnt helped with several Brighouse players - notably Claire Waldron, Kelly Darragh, Leisha Williams and Sarah Kennedy feeling unwell during the game.
The situation was further compounded with the loss of forward Jordanne Newsholme.
