OLD BRODLEIANS will be hoping a return to home comforts will see them return to winning ways this weekend.

After an opening Yorkshire One weekend win over local rivals Old Crossleyans on September 5, Brods were brought back down to earth with a bump on Saturday, once again drawing a blank on a visit to Dukes Park when they went down 26-8 to Bridlington.

North Ribblesdale pay a visit to Woodhead this weekend on the back of a 24-21 win over Crossleyans following on from an opening day 22-11 defeat at York.

Brods will be looking to extend a home sequence of victories at their Woodhead ground dating back to November 2014.

The last time North Ribblesdale visited, in October last year, Brods won 20-12.

The second team will travel to Driffield in the Championship and The Beavers will host their opening game of the season with a home game against local rivals Cleckheaton.
