Old Brodleians make their annual trip to Clifton Road this Saturday to face regular opponents York RFC (2.15pm).

The hosts club are not having the best of seasons, currently 10th in Yorkshire One with five wins of which two have been at home

They will no doubt be spurred by the victory at home last week when they beat in-form Hullensians by 24-15.

This follows a run of four games without a win and two home losses to Bridlington and Scarborough respectively. Their home form has not been up to their usual high standard with only one other league victory at Clifton Road in their opening fixture against North Ribblesdale.

After last weekend’s cup defeat, Brods will be looking to boost their drive for a top-six spot. Hopefully, with better conditions and the excellent surface at Clifton Road, the talented back division will be able to execute better and fulfill their obvious promise.

The 2nds will be at home to York, while the Beavers host Otleyensians 2nds.
