Hartshead Moor’s struggle in the Bradford League’s Championship B section continued with a 135 run mauling at the hands of hosts Methley.
The former Central Yorkshire League giants posted 244 for six in their 50 overs.
Ashton Blakey, son of former Yorkshire and England wicketkeeper Richard, top scored with 65, while Marcus Walmsley (45), Edward Walmlsey (44) and Samuel Mofokeng (31 no) ensured the visitors had a lot on their plates.
Daniel Squire, who had taken three for 58 in the Methley innings, scored 28 with the bat alongside Liam Muggeridge (28) and Richard Ferry (25).
However, nobody else contributed anything of significance and Moor were all out for 109 in 30.1 overs.
Edward Walmsley (4-27) and Grant Soames (3-33) did much of the damage.
Hartshead’s seconds have been holding their own in their division and posted 166 with Robert Swift top scoring with 58. Andrew Croft hit 41 and Stuart McDermott hit 29.
Greg Johnson gave Methley a good start with 42 and Joshua Neal (50 no) and David Willey (32no) saw them to a seven wicket victory.
