Hartshead Moor continue to struggle in Championship B division,Bowling Old Lane showing no mercy when posting 233-4, thanks chiefly to Ahson Butt (102) and Adal Islam (82).
In reply, Hartshead had just one shining light, Chris Swift scoring 23 while nobody else reached double figures.
The rain spared them a mammoth defeat however, finishing 53-9 after 24.1 overs.
Islam was the stand out performer, chipping in with 6-29 on top of his 82 runs.
Moor’s 2ndXI scored 140-8 in their 40 overs against East Ardsley with Andrew Croft hitting 36 and Louis Brooke 25.
But East Ardsley sealed a four-wicket win with 11 balls to spare thanks to Haseen Bashir (28) and John Lamming (44 not out).
Scholes 2ndXI clash with Bowling Old Lane was already reduced to 33 overs before it too was abandoned after the hosts set about chasing down the visitors’ 137-6. Andrew Spencer hit 32 and Ahshan Alison took 3-29. Bowling Old Lane were 54-2 after 13.5 overs when the umpires called time.
Lightcliffe’s 2ndX1 looked set to defeat Undercliffe when, chasing 157 they were 121-4 with 11 overs remaining. Philip Dixon (50) and Nicholas Sugden (39) top-scored for the visitors, while Chris Hall took 5-32.
Richard Thompson (44) held the Lightcliffe innings together before the rain came.
