The last majors of the year at the Crow Nest Golf club were played on Sunday in Finals Day.
Matchplay rounds began in April with some outstanding matches being played before the elite few reaching the final.
A throng of members showed their support on the day adding to the nerves of many a finalist on the first tee.
Many matches were nip and tuck coming down to the final few holes. The standard of play lived up to expectation in most matches with players and caddies enjoying the atmosphere of the day with spectators, members and guests appreciating the quality of golf throughout a fine afternoon.
Thanks go to all involved and referees who officiated.

Well done to all of our 2015 winners!
The last of this season’s major club trophies, the Walter Priestley Handicap final, was played out on a beautiful autumn morning at Castlefields Golf Club, Rastrick.
The competitors were the players with the greatest handicap reductions over this season, and the Walter Priestley Handicap final proved a fitting finale to another great season at the club.
The competition was eventually won by Melvyn Wood with a great display as he finished with a gross score of 49 (Par 54), continuing his run of recent good form reducing his handicap from 21 at the start of the year to 16.
The club would like to offer a massive thank you to it’s Captain of 2015, Mr Gareth Marsden, who has done a sterling job and wish 2016’s captain, Mr Ian Haley a fantastic term at the helm of a superb club.
Next season is already being planned and anyone wishing to register interest in joining should contact the club secretary David Bartliff on Tel: 07752 695051 or email. firstname.lastname@example.org
