Brighouse locals toast success at Huddersfield GC prize bash

Huddersfield Golf Club held their 2013 Presentation evening last Friday and two members from Brighouse managed to scoop prizes, writes Charlotte Henbest.

Eric Lord took the Senior Medal, which will see him up on one of the boards that adorns the beautiful Fixby Hall club house and John Radcliffe took the runners up prize in the John Fallon Trophy.

Club Captain Andrew Ramsden, who was joined on the top table by Lightcliffe-based club professional Alex Keighley, presented the trophies and said: “There has been some fantastic competitions this year and we has seen some great golf. My congratulations go to all the winners and we look forward to another superb year of golf in 2014.”

Alex Keighley added: “It was a fantastic evening with 95 in attendance for an excellent meal and it was a lovely atmosphere. There were 15 awards presented including the Williams Victory Prize, the Club Foursomes and the Club Challenge Bowl.”
