Josh’s double is hope for title

TWO sensational goals from Josh Margison gave Rangers yet another win to give themselves a real chance of lifting the RCD Division One title.

Rangers attacked the Lions’ goal straight from the kick-off and opened the scoring after 10 minutes when a George Gray throw was headed on by Jordan Hoyle and finished off at the back post by Ryan Thompson.

Just before half-time a corner from Margison was headed in by Oliver Eastwood forhis first goal of the season.

Lions pulled a goal back five minutes into the second half to give Rangers a few anxious moments but stand-in keeper Danny Rose made a fine save minutes later.

With 20 minutes still to go a free kick just inside the Clifton half was taken by Margison whose shot flew straight over the outstretched arms of the keeper which saw applause from both sets of supporters.

Margison completed the scoring against a physical side, this time direct from a free kick just inside the Lions half to give Clifton their seventh league win on the trot.
