Holiday nightmare

BRIGHOUSE seconds were on the end of two hefty defeats in the league and cup over the Bank Holiday weekend.

They suffered a 10 wicket mauling by Pudsey Congs on the Saturday after being put out for 92, Richie Lamb taking seven for 51, and then the Congs knocking them off in 12 overs with Calum Oliver hitting 51 not out.

On the Monday in a rain-affected Priestley Shield derby tie with Hartshead Moor, they were all out for 70 with Chris Maloney (41) scoring over half the total.

Jamie Abbott took five wickets for three runs in 4.3 overs with Ross Todd also taking two for 16.

Darren Wilson then led the charge for victory and the third round for Hartshead with 37 not out and Tom Forster (26 no) assisted as they sailed past in 21.1 overs.
