Brighouse Town are looking to build on last season’s success by offering potential players the chance to trial for the club.

As part of their commitment to move forward, Town are once again looking to recruit talent for the Development side.

Town have issued an invitation for potential players to attend their Open trial match at Calderdale College on Thursday, June 13 (7pm).

Town are currently playing at semi-professional level in the Northern Counties East Premier Division and also run a Development side in the Lancashire League, East Division which includes the likes of Harrogate Town, Ossett Albion, Hyde United and Stalybridge.

Director of football Darren Laycock said: ”The squad will once again run primarily as an Under 20 side and will play competitive fixtures in the league and cup on Saturday’s and some evenings.

“Members of the squad will of course have the opportunity to break into the first team at the first available opportunity and this will provide you, as a player, with an excellent opportunity within non-league football.

“Last season’s open match saw us recruit a number of players who are still with the club, including Ryan Hall who this year won the Young Player of the Year after breaking into the first team in October.

Anybody wishing to take up the opportunity or to enquire about pre season training should contact Development Manager, Charlie Tolley on 07841132118 or E-Mail charles.tolley@andythornton.com.
