Ovenden West Riding booked a second cup final appearance of the season last night.

They beat Huddersfield YMCA 2-0 away to earn a meeting with Campion in the West Riding County Amateur League’s Premier Division Cup final at Storthes Hall on Saturday, May 16 (2.30).

Second half goals from Andy Bailey and Jordan Coduri did the trick as the Halifax side set up a repeat of last season’s final, which Ovenden won.

Danny Megson’s side are also looking to hang on to the Halifax FA Saturday Cup. They meet Brighouse Town in the final of that competition at The Shay on Thursday, May 7.

Meanwhile, there were four Haslem-Sheppard Halifax AFL games last night.

Ben Ireland scored four times as Shelf FC had their expected win, by 6-2, away to Sowerby Bridge Reserves in Division Two.
