THIS 3-2 away win by Brighouse Juniors Terriers U9s over White Rose All Stars has to go down as one of the best ever performances from the Terriers.

Front man Joshua Heavyside opened the scoring with an inch perfect long range strike.

White Rose dug deep to draw level before Willan put the Terriers back in the lead with a well taken goal. Another Heavyside strike extended the lead and then the home side scored their second goal late on in the game and continued to threaten the Brighouse goal deep into time added on, only to be denied by keeper Taylor .

WHITE Rose All Stars C U9s dominated the first half in their game with Brighouse Juniors Tigers, taking a 3-0 lead into the break.

An inspired half time team talk seemed to do the trick for the Tigers. Ethan Roberts put in a commanding performance in defence and man of the match Jacob Peyton led the Brighouse charge with strong support from Ethan Wroot, while captain Henry Beckett led by example.

Two goals from Peyton and one from Wroot capped off a memorable half for the Tigers.

WHITE Rose All Stars B U9 team enjoyed the lion’s share of the game but didn`t completely have it all their own way despite the 5-0 scoreline. Bradley Atkinson looked spritely up front, James Metcalf had his best game to date while Liam Glakin was at his brilliant best in defence.

Rastrick Rangers under nines recorded their fourth successive league victory, and gained revenge against Dalton who inflicted their only defeat to date on the opening game of the season, with a 4-2 success.

Two goals midway through the first half from Corcoran and Rowley were just reward for dominant Rangers who controlled the early exchanges. Pickersgill added to the tally with a fine finish.

Dalton applied early second half pressure and a fine double save from keeper Evans kept the home team out.

Corcoran added a further goal and Dalton responded with a deflected shot.

A wonder strike from Rastrick Raiders under nines’ Sheldon Foxcroft was the highlight in a 7-3 defeat by dalton.

Man of the match Foxcroft responded to two early strikes from Dalton with an exquisite chip over the advancing keeper.

A battling display from Figg, Currie and Noon thwarted Dalton and when they did break clear Cresswell produced a string of fine saves.

Ben Evans was brought on at half time to add some presence into midfield, however a well struck Dalton free kick and further strikes looked to have wrapped things up.

Raiders continued to push forward and were rewarded when Evans finished well following a surging run from Gudgeon.

Further goals from Dalton made it 7-2 before Currie wrapped up the scoring with a well taken penalty.

Rastrick Rockets under nines recorded their first win of the season with a commanding performance in a 3-0 win over Mount Pleasant.

Both teams started well with chances at either end before Rastrick broke the deadlock, Liam Hudson smashing the ballhome from the right.

Rastrick doubled the lead when striker Georgie Price beat two defenders and finished well.

The ever improving defensive partnership of Chris Hudson and Jack Fitt kept Mount Pleasant at bay before Rockets completed the scoring with a fine solo effort from Liam Hudson.
