Young bowlers' winning debuts

TWO Brighouse schoolboys made winning debuts for their county at the weekend in the challenging sport of crown green bowls.
Rastrick High School student Robert Hopper, 15, and Conor McGowan, 15, who attends Brighouse High School, were playing for Yorkshire Under-18s against Greater Manchester at Moldgreen Conservative Club BC.
The Blakes Albion BC duo also recorded very impressive victories in Yorkshire's 233-141 win and retain their places for the next county fixture.
