Two take 'One Dart' challenge

TWO prominent local darts exponents were among a group of 16 who took on Peter "One Dart" Manley at a Queensbury pub.
Over 350 squeezed in to the New Tyke on Thornton Road to see the 2007 Holland Open Masters, Masters of Darts runner-up, Las Vegas Desert Classic champion for 2004 and with many more titles under his belt since 1998 here and abroad.
Nicknamed "One Dart" as he normally sees off doubles with one "arrow", he played Karl Nixon and Darryl Holdsworth from the New Inn team on Bradford Road, Brighouse.
Karl's dad Henry, who had taken them to the Rocking Rhino Promotions event at the newish pub as he did last year to Queensbury Conservative Club when they took on Wayne "Hawaii 50" Mardell said the duo performed admirably.
They both fell around 100 short of Manley on their respective games of 701 and not one of the others from all over Bradford including two raffle ticket winners on the night beat him in two and half hours of competition.
