PETER JACKSON is finally back in football after being linked with several Coca Cola League clubs during seven months on the sidelines following his exit from Huddersfield Town.
The 46-year-old Brighouse-based manager and former player with Newcastle United, Bradford City, Huddersfield Town, Chester City and Halifax Town has taken over the hot seat at Lincoln City, one of the toughest assignments of his professional career.
He looked on last Friday (2nd) when they suffered a 1-0 home defeat to his old club Chester and then really got his hands dirty on Tuesday night (6th).
Jacko spoke exclusively to Echo Sport just hours after his side had gone down 4-2 at home to Chesterfield.
He was so enamoured with his new post that he was into overdrive without me asking my first question.
With his voice obviously suffering from shouting instructions alongside his new No.2, Neil McDonald, the ex-Carlisle Utd boss and former Newcastle Utd colleague and friend for around 20-years, Jacko said: "This is a smashing little club and even at 3-0 down the fans were shouting my name and the board have been great with me.
