Rangers squad put through their paces

BRIGHOUSE Rangers Amateur Rugby League Club kicked off their pre-season campaign on Friday night with their first training session.
Coaches Johnny Bruce and Brendan Hill were present to try and get the team into shape before the new season gets under way.

The first thing that they did was to have a meeting during which Bruce told the players exactly what his intentions were and what he expected of them.

The group then went out and had a one hour fitness session.

Chairman Dean Wilson said: "The 30 players that turned up were expecting to be eased back into rugby gently as many of them haven't played for a couple of years. They got quite a shock though as Johnnie really put them through their paces."
