BRIGHOUSE Cricket Club's disastrous 2008 Bradford Cricket League Division One season continues with the departure of their leading professional to another local club and their coach walking out.
Pakistani international all-rounder Faisal Butt has terminated his contract at Russell Way and has joined struggling Central Yorkshire League club Northowram Fields.
He had been in talks with fellow Central Yorkshire League club Scholes but they could not, apparently, match his required terms.

Leading cricket committee man Glyn Owen said: "Butt called it a day after the Saltaire game and leaves us on good terms."

"It is better for us all round as the season is going nowhere and we would have been paying out for nothing. The money is better in the club coffers to strengthen from within."
