IT took a second half penalty to break the deadlock in a frantic game of attack and defence. Indeed, how the players lasted 90 minutes after what they put into the first half hour was quite amazing.
Both sets of players were totally committed on claiming the bragging rights of the two popular Rastrick hostelries and in the first 15 minutes there were chances at both ends.
Ben Timson in midfield for the Sun Inn was always looking to get his side moving while, for the Junction, Mungo Sheppard covered acres of ground in ensuring his forward line – the skilful Robert Malone and Alistair Sutcliffe – had chances galore while defending in the role at times of a sweeper alongside grafting centre backs Tim Driver, their skipper, and Matthew Banks.
