Junction Rastrick secured the Brighouse SFL title at the weekend in fitting style by beating high-flying rivals Rastrick CC 2-1 at Carr Green.

As with all matches played over the weekend the weather limited any chance of a footballing spectacle as high winds made conditions difficult for both sides.
Following the recent injury to Lee Shirtliff, CC had called upon Martin Newham in midfield over the past couple of matches to good effect and he added another goal to the brace he scored last weekend.
Junction fittingly secured the three points and title however, with leading marksman Rob Malone and long serving full-back Jonathan Henson grabbing the all important goals.
The new champions will now be keen to try and see out the season unbeaten in their remaining two ties.
At the opposite end of the table Triangle went one better having obtained their first point of the season last weekend by defeating Eastfield 2-1 at Milner Royd.
The under-strength visitors found the back of the net through Darren Hill, but Triangle followed up their first draw with their first win thanks to goals from Chris Mackowski and Robert Cowshill – who has been instrumental with his goals in their recent turnaround.
Just above them Brighouse Sports got back on track after weak recent results by defeating Mellors at Russell Way.
Mark Wright and Sean Suttle netted for the visitors, but Sports were prolific at the other end with a Daniel Lax brace the main thorn in Mellors side. Chris Allen, Michael Balmforth, Sanjin Bajgork and Anthony Todd sealed a comfortable victory.
Moving further up the standings again - mid table Martins Nest and Old Pond played out a 2-2 draw at a windswept Lane Head.
Jason Kirby launched home an early wind assisted free kick for Pond who were dominating possession as expected with the wind in their first half favour.
In conditions goalkeepers and defenders dread, Jamie Crane added some joy to an injury plagued season by firing into the back of the net from the halfway line, but Nest hit back when Dan Reddy followed up his own blocked free kick to score at the second attempt.
The second half belonged to Nest keeper Richard Crossley, who pulled off a string of top drawer saves to keep his side in the match.
The former Pond player-manager thwarted Richard Howard in one on ones on several occasions before pulling off the save of the match down to his left to deny Kirby.
Nest went on to equalise as Damian McCallum found room on the edge of the area and rocketed a shot into the top corner, giving Pond a difficult last five minutes of defending.
Jack Barker struck the cross bar and Michael Beckett almost 'kneed' home at the back post – but honours remained even with most credit perhaps due to Crossley and his opposite number Russell Holmes for good keeping in difficult conditions.
