BRIGHOUSE Rangers Ama-teur Rugby League Club's new coach Johnny Bruce is preparing for tonight's (Friday) first meeting with his new players at Russell Way.
Taking at the second time of asking the opportunity to coach the side with the best premises in the Premier League, Bruce is feeling "hungry and keen" for the job.
The former professional prop forward was offered the position in 2005 with the Conference looming by former chairman Paul Wormald but after some weeks of deliberation chose to play on with Siddal in the Conference League's Premier Division and Gary Barnett took over.
Bruce now the owner of an eight-man plastering company rekindled his interest in Brighouse after a year at Clayton in the Premier Division by meeting up with Brighouse cricketer David Ryan, who he knows.
