Brods wait for verdict on Shield showdown date

OLD Brodleians were on standby to hear if Sandal had given the green light to playing the Yorkshire Shield final next Wednesday, May, 14 (6.30) instead of Spring Bank Holiday Sunday, May 25.
The Brods player-coach Nick O'Connor told Echo Sport that the Yorkshire RFU had relented from their earlier date and were okay with next Wednesday, so he assumed that the venue, Huddersfield YMCA's ground at Salendine Nook, and the match officials were all fine with the change.
"It just needs Sandal now and indications are they are fine to comply; we just need official notification," added O'Connor.
