THE division's leading teams played out a superb game of football with Brighouse fully deserving the win that gave them the championship title.
A large group of spectators were treated to a fast and entertaining soccer match that was a credit to every player on the field.
From the off everyone knew that only a top performance from every single player would give either team the victory for the league title.
It was Brighouse who created the opening pressure and the first 12 minutes were spent almost entirely in the Clough half as the home side produced wave after wave of attacks but some excellent defending kept it tight.
