Junior soccer stars prepared for their big kick off at the annual Clifton Rangers football tournament.
The 19th event to be held saw 150 teams from Huddersfield, Halifax, Brighouse, Bradford, Leeds and further afield took part in the competition ahead of the big kick-off of their seasons.
Marcus Haigh, from Clifton Rangers and one of the organisers said it was another successful competition.
“Everything went really well and we had teams from under sevens up to under 14’s.
“Obviously like most tournaments we had some teams drop out but everything ran smoothly and people seemed to have a good time.
“It is also good for the players as it was a chance to get used to their new formats, either nine-a-side and 11-a-side.”
Taking place at Brighouse High School on Finkil Street, the tournament also raised vital funds for the club.
The parents of Clifton Rangers under 11’s kindly baked buns and cakes for the cake stall, which was a yummy success.
