Brighouse continues to go from strength to strength with yet another triumph - the hosting of the 1940s weekend, further raising the profile of our town across the region.
It was fantastic to see the town centre so busy, with families enjoying the experience and everything that the Brighouse area has to offer.
I spent part of the day on Craig Whittaker MP’s street surgery stall which gave me the opportunity to speak to many local residents, as well as those less frequent visitors to our town.
While it was clear that everyone was enjoying the various events, I was very pleased by the reaction I received from visitors, all of whom agreed that they would most certainly be coming back.
Great credit has to go to the Brighouse Business Initiative for organising this innovative event and for continuing to enhance the town’s reputation far and wide. Well done to everyone concerned!
