TVs Helicopter Heroes celebrity, Sammy Wills, dropped in on the Beaver Scouts from Hove Edge and Rastrick St John’s.
She explained what the role of a airborne paramedic entails and the youngsters were mesmerised by her tales of adventure, but also found out that it wasn’t at always glamorous.
To help them understand why a helicopter is needed to attend incidents Sammy had plenty of tricks up her sleeve with games and stories.
Scout leader, Debbie, said: “It’s great that the children have the opportunity to meet somebody who serves in their community.
“Earlier this week we heard about the helicopter attending a crash on the M62 and the visit from Sammy helped to reinforce the amazing work that Yorkshire Air Ambulance do.”
