Rail travellers in Yorkshire will soon benefit from an additional direct connection to London, thanks to the launch of Grand Central Rail’s fourth West Riding service this December.

From Monday December 9, passengers travelling between Brighouse and London King’s Cross will have access to a new direct daily service at 8.18am southbound and 4.03pm northbound, giving business travellers increased accessibility to the capital and leisure passengers the flexibility of day trip travel. The announcement comes as tickets for the service became available to book online at www.grandcentralrail.com

Sean English, General Manager at Grand Central, said: “We are excited to launch our fourth daily direct service on the West Riding route, which means we can offer more accessible travel for the people of Yorkshire. We launched an additional service on our North East route last year, which proved to be extremely popular with business travellers and leisure passengers alike and we hope to replicate this success on the West Riding route.”
