Trains will not be running through Brighouse this weekend due to engineering work being carried out on the line.

Northern Rail and Grand Central trains will not be travelling through Brighouse on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22.

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “We are improving Dryclough Junction, which takes place this coming weekend, from Friday night to Monday morning.

“The work is being undertaken to renew a life expired asset, which will improve the reliability of the junction for years to come.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to passengers.”

Buses will be transporting passengers to other stations where they can continue their journey.
