A major roadworks scheme in Southowram is set to come to end next week.
Northern Gas Networks has been replacing an old metal gas main in the Cain Lane area of Southowram as part of a £222,000 project.
It is being replaced with more durable pipes which will ensure the safe and reliable supply of gas to customers.
The work started on Monday, July 22, and Calderdale Council’s leader and local ward councillor Tim Swift (Lab) has just been informed that the work is ahead of schedule and it is hoped the road will be reopened by Wednesday or Thursday next week.
Cain Lane is closed at the junction with Chapel Lane and diversions were in place.
