TWO men have been charged with a string of armed robberies across West Yorkshire - including two raids at a Brighouse jewellers.
Kiiam Kirby, 22, of Leeds, and Sam Hall, 22, of Recreation Grove, Leeds, have appeared in court charged with two robberies at Neimantas Jewellers along Commercial Street in August.
West Yorkshire Police Chief Constable Sir Norman Bettison visited owner Steven Neimantas during a tour of the area after the two raids.
Kirby and Hall were subsequently arrested in connection with the Brighouse robbery and later charged.
They appeared at Dewsbury Magistrates’ Court and were sent to Leeds Crown Court.
Police have confirmed the pair also face charges relating to robberies in Ilkley, Otley and Wetherby and high street banks in Leeds.
They will next appear at Leeds Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on December 6.
