Lights, camera, action - we’ve been out filming for the longest day.
Our Life in a Day project running all day today is a snapshot of Calderdale life on the longest day of the year.
Our photographers and reporters are out and about across Calderdale - as always - covering your events for our website and the paper and we’re putting the footage into one film to celebrate the longest day.
You can watch the video from this morning and afternoon by clicking play, now. We’ll add to the video as the day progresses.
But we are also asking you, our readers to get involved and send in your pictures and your video clips of your day.
It’s all about your day - on the longest day - the postmen and women on their rounds, the bustle of the cafes and streets of our town centres at lunch and the work on the building site or even the roadworks in the afternoon.
You may be going on a walk out and about in our beautiful countryside. Please send us a video clip of your activities or pictures of the scenery.
Then it’s recording the journey home, collecting the kids, the fun in your kitchen for dinner and getting ready to go out - or simply relaxing at home as the weekend approaches.
The longest day is a great chance for you to have your moment in time and for us to capture a visual snapshot of everyday life in Calderdale, to promote how wonderful our district is and to celebrate the people that live and work here and make it so special to a worldwide audience.
Email us your pictures and video to email@example.com, you can tweet us @HxCourier #longestlocalday or post on the Courier’s Facebook page.
And let’s all enjoy the longest day together. Click play above now to see the first part of our Longest Day video.
