MODELS of all ages were strutting their stuff on the catwalk at M&Co in Brighouse.
The clothes store in Bradford Road organised the fashion show to raise vital funds for Cancer Research, the company’s charity of the year.
The event involved a lot of support from local businesses who donated prizes for a raffle and auction. The funds along with ticket sales helped to raise £750.
During the interval Owls in King Street offered wine tasting and Park Row Hairdressers in Bradford Road did a mini make-over for one lucky attendee.
The hairsdressers who have recently moved to Bradford Road also did the hair for all 20 models.
Sponsors of the event were Simply Flowers, Wetherspoons, The Calder, Kershaws Garden Centre, Neimantas, Holiday Inn, Prego’s, Visage Beauty, Fawcetts, Pet Boutique, Tiger Feet and S and L Custance.
Floor manager Antonia Dean who organised the event with help from Toni Rogers, assistant manager, said the event was a huge success.
“It was absolutely brilliant. We raised a fantastic amount and everyone appeared to have a good night. It is definitely something we would look at doing again because of how successful it was,” she said.
Everyone who attended the event left with a goodie bag which contained a voucher with discounts for each of the sponsors and chocolate.
M&Co as a whole has raised £880,000 towards Cancer Research so far.
