Two talented young dancers will take their moment in the spotlight when they perform with a prestigious ballet company.

Megan Moon, 15, and Erin Keeling, 14, attend Whiteley’s Academy of Performing Arts, Halifax, and have both earned places in the English Youth Ballet’s production of Giselle.

The girls will join the production for its run at St George’s Hall, Bradford, in June.

Megan, who is a student at Brighouse High, has been dancing for 13 years and her ambition is to pursue a professional career in classical ballet.

She says that performing in Giselle with the English Youth Ballet will give her an insight into working alongside a professional company.

In her time dancing, Megan has been nominated by International Dance Teachers Association examiners to take part in dance awards in Manchester in 2014 and 2015.

Erin has been dancing at the academy since she was just three-years-old. She currently dances every day and sys her favourite styles are ballet, musical theatre and lyrical.

This will be Erin’s second time performing with the English Youth Ballet.
