Eighteen-year-old Sophie Rane’s passion for hairdressing is helping her get ahead in the world of creative styling.
The teenage trainee at Taylor’s Hairdressing Ltd in Brighouse has completed her L2 Diploma (NVQ) in hairdressing and is looking forward to furthering her career in the hairdressing and barbering industry.
Since achieving her L2 qualification, Sophie has worked as a junior stylist and is now focusing on her Level 3 Diploma to further extend her skills.
She said: “With extra support from my tutors, I will achieve L3 well within my target date and I want to continue to work to innovative and professional high standards. In the future I would like to be part of the FAME team and showcase my skills all over the world. I would love to style the hair for designers like Alexander McQueen and Burberry and work with respected session stylists - and eventually be one myself.”
Sandra Tickner Hobson, director at Taylor’s Training, said: “Sophie is fanatical about learning new skills and techniques and is determined to further her training and abilities. She is one to watch in the future.”
Apprentice Week at Taylor’s Training begins on March 10 when demonstrations, workshops and talks will be held.
