Sainsbury’s in Brighouse has donated more than 100 presents to Calderdale charity Smart Move.
Sainsbury’s colleagues Gail MacFarlane, Karen Drennan and Hazel Rutson (pictured with Smart Move’s Craig George and Ken Lockett) raised money through an in-store competition where half the prize money went to Smart Move.
The colleagues were able to raise £71 that paid for the food at the Smart Move Christmas party. Colleagues in the Brighouse store also donated £1 each, which was able to buy more than 100 gifts for children at the party.
Sainsbury’s PR Ambassador Guy Walker said: “Smart Move is a charity we’ve supported for a number of years.
“As a store we are really proud that we have been able to help our local community. “Knowing that the children have a present to open is what Christmas is all about.”
