The crowds of people from near and far who attended Brighouse’s 1940s weekend are able to recapture all the excitement of a memorable weekend thanks to a souvenir DVD. Steven Lord, pictured, of the Harrison Lord Gallery, put the special souvenir together, complete with DVD and photographs.
He said: “It was an utterly amazing weekend with so many great outfits and so much going on. I felt it was important to document the tremendous atmosphere around the town and all the effort that so many people put into it.”
The DVD costs £10 and is now available from Harrison Lord Gallery, Ryecorn Wholefoods and Simply Flowers. Also on sale is a commemorative poster by artist Bruce Baillie.
The first 1940s weekend was such a success that next year’s date has already been fixed - June 7 and 8 2014.
