Pubs gear up for Easter

l Tonight (Thurs) the jam session at the Barge, Brighouse, will be with Mick Brown and on Good Friday it’s the turn of Hungry Hearts to entertain.

Saturday sees Jagged Edge live on stage and on Easter Sunday from 6.30pm there will be a family gig with the Psychoslinkys.

l Paul Haydock at the Armytage Arms, Clifton, is encouraging families and friends to celebrate Easter with classic favourites from the menu as well as the limited edition Easter sundae - decadent layers of mini Easter eggs, dairy milk pieces, ice-cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce - available until Easter Monday.

l On Good Friday the Lightcliffe Club is presenting Jiving Jeff’s popular monthly rock and roll night. It starts at 7pm and it’s pay on the door. The popular Black Cat Trio will be providing the music.

l Dave and Sue Harker at the George, Commercial Street, are serving a four-course menu on Sunday for £12.95 per head. From 4pm there will then be a soul and Motown disco.
