Five floats, three bands and various walking groups will be leading the way to Brighouse Charity Gala.
This year’s procession will start an hour earlier than previous years and leave Garden Road at noon. It will travel along Garden Road, down Lightcliffe Road to Waterloo Road, down Halifax Road to the town centre, along Commercial Street and on to Bradford Road before arriving at Wellholme Park just after 12.30pm.
The procession cavalcade will be made up of brightly dressed floats which should congregate at Brow Mills in Brighouse Road opposite Crosslee from 9.30am, leaving at 11.45am to merge with the procession on Lightcliffe Road.
There will be charity organisations, uniform groups, churches, community groups, sports and activity clubs and many local businesses taking part.
It costs nothing to enter but donations from businesses are much appreciate.
The procession will include last year’s Gala Queen Emilie Large and her special guest Ruby Hunt, as well as this year’s queen Georgina Thornton and her attendant Crystal Wheelhouse-Brown.
Walking groups can still participate by turning up on the day and anyone who would like a float, the lorries donated by Marshalls, should contact procession chairman Bob Parker before end of play on Friday so it can be organised.
Call Bob on 01484 388596 or his office number is 01422 886883.
All fancy dress entrants should meet at Lane Head Recreation Ground near the park area between 11.30am and 11.45am.
