BRIGHOUSE revellers are ready to take the royal wedding celebrations to the streets tomorrow.

Hundreds of people in the town are expected to view Prince William and Kate Middleton’s nuptials on big screens before letting their hair down at street parties and barbecues.

Residents of Crown Street are getting ready for ‘a good old knees-up’ at a traditional street party complete with bunting, flags, games and food.

One of the oldest residents, Olga Cunningham, aged 81, said: “This is the best street in Brighouse. We all look out for each other and are good neighbours. Last year when I was 80 they bought me a bench for my front garden.”

Organiser Donna Taylor said: “We live in a traditional terraced street and it’s very sociable.”
