Improvements have been made to a derelict Rastrick pub to stop anti-social behaviour.
PC Chris Madden(right) and Councillor Chris Pillai have been in discussions with the owner of land on Holly Bank Road where the former Bramble Inn is situated.
Residents had raised concerns about fly tipping and anti-social behaviour that was happening on the site.
However, at Rastrick ward forum, Mags Bryson. Calderdale Council’s neighbourhood coordinator for the Lower Valley, said steps have been taken to tackle the issues.
“Environmental Health, PC Madden and Councillor Pillai have been following the issue and talking with the owner.
“He has now started to clean up the site and trees have been cut down and used to block the access. The building has also been secured.”
In October 2011 Calderdale Council gave outline planning permission for nine town houses and two semi detached properties to be built on the site.
