Inside the Council: Time to look forward

On New Year’s Eve, I spent some part of the evening at an establishment by the canal. The evening was most entertaining and I managed to catch up with a few friends and see a few familiar faces. The venue made me realise that we live in a great place, and made me think of events which will be taking place during the course of 2015.

I would like to pay tribute to the organisers of the Brighouse Business Initiative. Their effort over the course of the past twelve months has been remarkable – so thank you. They have been busy planning for the forthcoming events:

A Spring Market – April 25-26.

The 1940s weekend – June 4-7.

The Canal Festival - August 22-23.

The Victorian Market – November 28–29.

Also every last Thursday in the month the group organises a showing of a film in the Civic Hall – on January 29 you can see “Pride”.

The Brighouse Festival will also take place during September.

So as you can see there is plenty to look forward to and a wide variety of events to suit all.
