Plucky Sharon flies high to raise £1,200 for charity

Plucky mum Sharon Kilner overcame her fear of heights to take part in a charity zip slide from the roof of the Imperial War Museum at Salford Quays.

Sharon, who works at Tesco’s supermarket in Brighouse, was raising money for CMV Action UK. Her two-year-old son Joshua has impaired hearing and mobility problems after being born with the CM (cytomegalo) virus.

“I don’t really like heights but flying over the Manchester Ship Canal was a great experience,” said Sharon.

“It is definitely something I would do again - and I will go even higher next time! I have now raised about £1,200 for CMV Action UK.”

Sharon lives with her family - husband Kevin and four-year-old daughter Lucy at Healey Wood, Brighouse. Joshua attends Watersedge Nursery.
