An open day event will be held on the Smith House Estate on Saturday, June 21, from 11am to 1pm to discuss plans for new playground facilities on the estate.
The open day, which has been organised by Calderdale Council, will provide local residents with an opportunity to discuss potential new designs for improved facilities with council officers, councillors and representatives from Pennine Housing.
Brighouse ward councillors Scott Benton and Howard Blagbrough have been campaigning for improvements to playgrounds at Smith House and Whinney Hill Park.
Coun Benton said: “We are working with local residents and Calderdale Council to produce designs for new facilities on both sites.
“We would love to hear the thoughts of local families in relation to what any new playground facilities should look like and so would encourage local people to attend the consultation event on Saturday to share their thoughts.”
Coun Blagbrough said: “We are hopeful that the council will be able to find the money required to fund new facilities.”
