Players in an annual charity football match in memory of Lisa Freeman are warming up for another year.
Old Pond FC will be holding their annual charity football match at Lane Head recreation ground on Sunday, May 4, kick off at 10.30am
The event is to raise money for the Cardiomyopathy Association (CMA) in memory of Lisa Freeman, a young mother of two who died in October 2005 from the heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She worked at St Joseph’s RC Primary School, Brighouse.
CMA is the only UK based charity dedicated to providing support and information to families affected by cardiomyopathy.
The day begins with the charity football match when the current Old Pond team will play the Old Pond legends. Refreshments will be sold after the game in the Old Pond pub followed by a raffle and competitions.
