THERE will be dancing in the streets of Brighouse on Saturday when the Totally Locally Food and Craft Market takes over the town.

A range of musical entertainment has been arranged to set toes tapping and get visitors in the mood to spend their money at the vast array of stalls in Commercial Street and around the town centre.

There will be visits from Vegas Elvis, swing band the Flashbacks and Kirklees Music as well as steam train rides and fairground attractions for children.

The market will be held on Bank Holiday Saturday from 10am to 3pm. It will feature a hot food banquet, hog roast, Mongolian stir fry and traditional refreshments at Brighouse Rest Centre. New stallholders will include Little Red Berry who make alcoholic fruit liqueurs and Porkshire from Southowram selling locally-reared pork.

Lesley Adams, chairman of Brighouse Business Initiative, said: “The popularity of the Brighouse food and craft market has grown and grown and offers visitors a chance to buy great quality local produce.”
