MORE job losses at Avocet Hardware Ltd have not been ruled out - despite the company only coming out of administration last week.
The company was bought by L Fibrelok and RTMV Jain Ltd, both operating companies of the Atlantic Group, last Friday at the cost of 42 jobs.
Now, from the 108 jobs that were initially saved, it is believed that more posts have been axed.
In January this year the company, which has been established for over 30 years, entered administration.
A leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of locks, handles and other hardware for windows and doors, Avocet Hardware Ltd became the Atlantic Group’s fourth acquisition in the UK in six years.
They also took over Eliza Tinley Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of chain, rope, hardware and accessories, in 2006.
Avocet Hardware Ltd declined to make any comment.
